The Dice Challenge

Problem

Roll a die or tap on the one here.

Count the spots.

Can you find that number anywhere in your home?

Ask an adult to help you take a photograph and submit it below.

Have fun and do this as many times as you want.

 

Helpful Hints

If you roll a 3, you might look around and find a number 3 on a clock.

If you roll a 2, you might look around and find a number 2 on the bottom of your shoe.

Numbers are everywhere!

Keep your eyes peeled for more numbers even when you are outside. Talk to your family about them.

Going Further

Roll two dice.
 

Count how many spots you have altogether on both dice.

How many more do you need to make 20?

Can you count from 0 up to your number?

Can you start at your number and count back to 0?

Can you write your number in the air? Or trace it on someone’s back? Or write it on a piece of paper?

Can you draw a picture that shows your number?

What is one more than your number?

What is one less than your number?
